Since the June of 2018 Astrakhan has seen the realization of “Media Prom” project. The idea of the project belongs to Deputy Minister of Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Alexey Volin and Head of #Astrakhanlive community Alexander Alymov. “Media Prom” aims at creation of student-made media content meant to promote economic directions of the Astrakhan Region.
“The point is that students don’t just try themselves in the role of a journalist, but also to create content for the benefit of the region”, — Alexander Alymov comments on this.

Final versions of the Astrakhan State University students’ works were discussed in the framework of the media forum. Students, young journalists and PR specialists have been working for about two months. Special practice with partner-companies was organized for the. At the discussion panel of the Caspian Media Forum they presented their joint projects with press services of “Lukoil”, “Caspian energy”, “Tinaki”, “Kilinchinsky gardens”, SEZ “Lotos”, the Astrakhan State Opera and Ballet Theatre.

Experts have assessed the students’ works and provided tips. The “Guide to musical clusters of the Caspian region” initiative has drawn particular interest. Young specialists have demonstrated the capabilities of Caspian littoral states’ major theaters, analysed and compared their concert programs, looked into possibilities of organizing theatre festivals and the list of media that can potentially cover them.

“I believe that the Caspian editorial board should take this on board and address it to the next media forum”, — Alexey Volin advised.
